Solidarity for Resilience
Help us continue to support the most vulnerable
Listen to the voices from the communities
The pandemic global crisis we are still experiencing has exacerbated the conditions of poverty, isolation and discrimination, affecting disproportionally the people living in the most vulnerable conditions.
Thanks to our Covid19 emergency programs in 2020 we were able to assist more than 85,000 people, with food packages and hygiene kits, health care, Covid19 prevention and protection, education, psychological support and basic services to families, to rebuild peace and hope together with our communities.
Our mission has never stopped but now it becomes even more necessary as the crisis is not over, and has created even more inequalities and social injustice in the most fragile countries.

Continue to support our mission, together in solidarity
Our Good Shepherd programs are deeply rooted in the affected communities. Despite all difficulties, sisters and lay partners have been living there before, and have been staying in the front line to continue to serve them and provide basic services and carry on essential activities.
As builders of peace and justice, we cannot leave further behind those who were already at the margins. We will work through our Good Shepherd programs to rehabilitate, accompany and support these communities in vulnerable conditions, providing them support and resources to live with dignity and hope.
Together with our partners we will continue our effort to protect and empower women, girls and children, aiming to enhance the communities’ resilience, so they can strengthen their own capacities to face the social and economic impact of the crisis, in the most fragile contexts.
Vulnerable communities are the most impacted by the COVID-19 crisis
In Asia Pacific the pandemic emergency continues with poor access to health care for most isolated communities, while more and more girls and women in poverty are at risk of trafficking and exploitation.
In Latin America, thousands of women have lost their income, and cases of domestic violence and abuses against women and girls have surged.
In Africa early marriage and child labor have increased, and food insecurity and malnutrition are affecting the most marginalized children and their families.
In the Middle East people are struggling to meet their basic needs for food and healthcare, while in Lebanon half the population lives now in poverty.
