OUR APPROACH

MISSION DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
To achieve our mission in partnership with Good Shepherd network, the Good Shepherd International Foundation adopts the Mission Development Process,an organizational development model centered on participatory planning and long-term capacity building of local partners.
Throughout our work, we share the approach of the Good Shepherd sisters who consider the direct relationships with people the key to helping bring about positive and lasting change in their lives. We employ a bottom-up planning strategy in which the local partners use their nearby position to assess the needs of the community and translate them into effective development projects.
OUR AREAS OF INTERVENTION

Community Strengthening and Participation
Community Strengthening and Participation
We support local communities in fragmented and conflicted societies to strengthen social cohesion and enhance development. We support communities in becoming more inclusive and capable of providing bottom-up social welfare services to its members, especially the most vulnerable. Through community mobilization and the creation of self-help groups, our programs promote civic education, social welfare, protection and financial inclusion for the most vulnerable and marginalized members of society.
