Assembly of Founders

This appoints the members of the Board, and supervises the implementation of the relevant resolutions and the general progress of the Foundation. It approves the strategic and financial plan that defines the criteria and priorities of the Foundation’s initiatives.

Consiglio di Amministrazione

The Board is responsible for the ordinary and extraordinary management of the Foundation, deciding the initiatives to be taken and the criteria to be followed to achieve the Foundation’s purposes. It approves the foundation’s annual budget and report in line with current regulations.

Direttore

Appointed by the Board of Directors in consultation with the Assembly of Founders, implements the Board of Directors’ resolutions and the Foundation’s strategic plan.

OPERATING STRUCTURE

GSIF’s structure is organized into Departments and Regional Offices. Departments and Offices work cross-functionally on thematic projects and teams.

Department of Accountability, Effectiveness and People Management

The department aims to ensure sound and risk-conscious management of GSIF’s financial, material and human resources in accordance with best practices in ethics, accountability and transparency. It promotes a culture of accountability and supports local partners in complying with GSIF’s procedures and standards. Promote organizational efficiency and strategic management of people working with GSIF. Oversee compliance of funding management.

Department of Knowledge Management and Communication

This department plays a coordinating role in creating and promoting a knowledge based organizational culture and strategic management of information and data. It ensures that smooth and effective workflows and systems are in place to organize information and transform data into knowledge to be used for analysis, learning, communication and fundraising purposes.

Department of Partnership Development

The department facilitates the development of new partnerships, within and outside the congregation’s ecosystem, to strengthen the effectiveness and sustainability of GSIF’s and the congregation’s mission worldwide

Africa and Middle East Working Team

Promotes synergies and collaboration between GSIF and the Units and development partners in the countries of Africa and the Middle East for program development and the implementation of coordinated activities, working in an integrated way with the different Congregational offices.

GSIF America Latina

Implements the Units’ local directives and strategic plans, collaborates with MDOs in the Latin America region to provide program assistance and support services

GSIF Nepal

Develops, coordinates, and implements the local strategic plan, working with partners in developing, managing, and supporting programs

GSIF Asia Pacific

Implements Unit directives and local strategic plans, collaborates with MDOs in the Asia Pacific region to provide program assistance and support services

Regional offices coordinate their respective activities, through regular meetings and working groups, to facilitate the process of collaboration and sharing between GSIF and local Units and ensure mission effectiveness by promoting the exchange of good practices.

RISORSE ECONOMICHE

PROVENIENZA FONDI

Le risorse economiche di GSIF provengono esclusivamente da attività di raccolta fondi e donazioni da parte di fondazioni e agenzie private nazionali e internazionali, Unità e Fondo Centrale della Congregazione, individui, agenzie governative e aziende. 

The year 2023 marked a growth of 12% compared to 2022 in both income and expenditure, a growth in line in line with the previous year.

COME UTILIZZIAMO
OGNI EURO RACCOLTO

Per ogni euro raccolto l’82% viene destinato direttamente alla realizzazione delle attività dei programmi e dei progetti nei diversi paesi. Il 18% viene usato per coprire i costi organizzativi e amministrativi per la gestione, il monitoraggio e la valutazione delle attività dei programmi, la formazione e lo sviluppo delle capacità dei partner che implementano i progetti, la raccolta fondi e la comunicazione. Queste attività permettono all’organizzazione e ai suoi partner di continuare e estendere i programmi, per raggiungere un numero più ampio di persone.

2023 IN NUMBERS

In 2023 GSIF supported 119 new projects in 34 countries, serving 158,547 people, 46% more than in 2022.
