Activities
- Strengthening the Rosa Virginia Shelter: with the support of GISF, the process of children and adolescents rescued from trafficking for sexual and labour exploitation is accompanied.
- Emergency Project to tackle COVID 19: 90 families living in socioeconomic vulnerability have received direct support for over 5 months by providing them with monthly non-perishable food kits. They were also provided with seeds to develop family gardens, as well as poultry and piglets for consumption and income generation as a means of living.
- The project developed in Yataity Ayolas benefits mainly women and young people in the community through the development of technical courses for rapid employment and income generation, as well as training in issues related to their rights and care of the environment”.

COUNTRY BACKGROUND / OVERVIEW
According to the Population Projection, Revision 2015 of the DGEEC, Paraguay has 7,152,703 inhabitants in 2019, of which 2,498,431 are between 0 and 17 years old. That is, 34.93% of the population are children and adolescents.
Data from the General Directorate of the Women’s Observatory, of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, indicate that in 2019 there were a total of 37 (thirty-seven) victims of Feminicide in Paraguay, and so far in 2020 there have been 18,642 reports of family violence in the Public Prosecutor’s Office from January to October 9, at the country level.
